Finally, yesterday we had our first scrap of snow in Paris. It wasn’t much and it didn’t last long. I woke up and as usual the first thing that I did was throw open the shutters to let in the light and there they were. Snowflakes. None stuck on the ground but I used the few minutes I had to take some pictures from my balcony.

For the first time, I went to the Musée Guimet, which is an Asiatic arts museum. I must say that overall I am not an enthusiast of the Asiatic arts. I think that what I realized that day was that it simply had to do with color. I am highly stimulated by color and this museum had very little. The whole first floor was filled with stone statues but that meant everything was pale stone color. Blech! I enjoyed getting to talk with my friend P* and I know she liked the museum except for the fact that the class cases were covered in dusts and streaks from being very badly cleaned. It made taking pictures very difficult. Hey Guimet! Let’s learn how to clean!
